The schedule for Worthy FM 2013 is below, enjoy!
|Wake Up Worthy Farm!
Guy Lloyd loves early mornings, so he’s back again to wake up Worthy Farm with a breakfast show, this time joined by crew competition winner Sam Brough. Together, Guy and Sam will be bringing you news of what’s going to be going on on site each day, as well as looking back at previous Glastonburys in their ‘Glast Blast From The Past’.
Remember, they get up early so that you can have a lie in.
Gez has been coming to Glastonbury for years. Bobzilla’s first Glastonbury is this year. Last year, Gez volunteered at Bobzilla’s station at Burning Man in America, this year, Bobzilla’s volunteering for Worthy FM. Together, they’re going to be spending two hours per day exploring the late night areas of the site, like Arcadia, Shangri-La. The Common, Block 9, Strummerville and the Unfair Ground. Expect live guests, live sessions and loads of top tunes, all from the late night parts of Glastonbury. They’ll be broadcasting from our second studio down in Arcadia which was inspired by the station at Burning Man, so feel free to stop by and have a chat on air yourself!
|Shades of Green with Jemma and Paul
Shades of Green will be covering all things to do with the Green Fields at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. So whether you want to know about some of the environmental campaign groups on site this year, hear what’s been happening at some of the smaller stages over that way, or just want to find out where to get a good massage, tune in.
|The Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Show with Steve Bilsborough
Despite what it sounds like, not some Simon Cowell influenced reality radio spectacle, instead it’s a show dedicated to this year’s Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition, the finals of which took place back in April. During this 2 hour daily show we’ll be featuring performances and interviews recorded at the finals, studio tracks from many of the longlisted acts and from Thursday onwards we’ll have each of the eight finalists playing live acoustic sessions on the show. Everyday at 11am!
|Afternoons with Michelle Owen
Michelle’s show will be covering The Park & Other Stage and the various acts appearing on there, grabbing some of the bands appearing on those stages to have a chat to and playing you some of their tunes.
As well as that there will be interviews and sessions with some artists playing the smaller stages, including some unsigned talent. Michelle will also be broadcasting from Studio 2 in Arcadia, right in the heart of the festival, so do drop by to say hello.
|The Show What The Kidz Do
One of the highlights of Worthy FM in 2011, this year Phil and Hayleigh are back working for Worthy FM kids Jack and Courtney, in a show for kids, presented by kids.
Covering the Kidz Field part of the site, expect live guests, lots of laughs, and even on air wedding proposals if last year’s anything to go by. So, if you’re one of our younger listeners, or if you’re taking a break whilst the kids lose themselves in the magic of the kids field, then make sure you tune in to find out what’s going on each day.
|The Midnight Rambler: The Worthy FM Comedy Round Up
Sarah and Ollie are funny people, with a lot of funny friends, so their show this year’s going to be bringing you news, reviews and laughs from across the Theatre, Circus and Cabaret areas. Expect some very special guests as they scour the backstage bars for comedians up for a bit of midnight banter…
|Silver Hayes with Stalker and Paul
Stalker is Worthy FM’s resident dance music specialist, playing dance shows on the station, Dj’ing at the Silent Disco and generally having it large into the early hours. This year he’s accompanied by fellow Dance DJ Paul Moore, and together the two of them will be keeping you company through the night with a mixture of tunes, chat and some special guests…
|Special Guest DJ
Over the years, Glastonbury’s onsite station has seen the likes of John Peel and The Orb be special guest presenters now and again. Worthy FM keeps this tradition going with a daily one off show from Special Guests sourced from around the festival. Tune in to find out who we’ve got to surprise you with this year…
|Daddy Teacha’s Reggae Show
Daddy Teacha’s nightly reggae show on Worthy FM is a long standing institution on the radio at Glastonbury Festival now, with its own fan club and everything. After a day exploring the parts of the festival others can’t reach, Teacha will regale you with stories of what he’s been up to, as well as digging in his crates for some of the smoothest reggae and dopest dub around.
A performer in his own right, Teacha’s slot is not just a show, it’s a full on live performance you just shouldn’t miss.
|The Leftfield Show with Steve Satan and Peter
Glastonbury’s always had a political side to it, and with the Leftfield Tent now going from strength to strength, we wanted to put a show in to cover all of the onsite politics. Steve Satan and Peter Crowther will be bringing you two hours per day of political news, debate and discussion from around the site. If you fancy having your say on air too, then stop by our second studio in Arcadia, where the show will be being broadcast live.
Each morning, we’ll be spending two hours looking back at the previous day on site, playing some of the best audio and features we’ve recorded out and about, mixed in with tunes from the different acts appearing at the festival.
Back at the start of this year, Sam Brough and Ellie Wright won the competition for places on the Worthy FM crew. As one of their many rewards for winning, they’re each getting their own competition winner’s show every morning. Expect music, banter and lots of wide eyed excitement.
|The Monday Exit Shows
You know what it’s like. It’s Monday, you’re waiting to get out of the car parks, and you’ve only got Worthy FM to entertain you on your car radio.
So how about a game of hide and seek? We’re going to be sending crew members out around the car parks on Monday, and with the help of presenters on air, and some live link ups with yourselves in the car parks, you’ve got to see if you can spot us.
On top of that, you can keep on listening to us at home through the Internet until midnight, so we’ll be there once you get home, to keep you company as you unpack, clean up and crash out!
For posterity, here are our schedules from previous years too.
